SPECIAL FEATURE: My Hypnosis Experience

Note: This is Part 2 of my Hypnosis series (see Part 1 here).

As I've mentioned in a recent blog post, I recently underwent a hypnosis session under the guidance of Savipra Gorospe the first time that we properly hung out. Even though I was skeptical about it in the beginning, after doing some thorough research about the topic and being constantly reminded by Sav that the hypnosis will only work if I agree to it willingly and believe in it, I cast all of my negative doubts aside and went into it with an open mind (pun intended).

We chose a semi-quiet public place, and I call it "semi-quiet" because of that annoying lady who was in the middle of a very loud phone call lol.

The first thing that Savipra did was ask me to answer a bunch of seemingly random questions. There were two separate sets of questions that I had two answer, but both sets were very similar with a few words changed here and there. Upon answering them, Savipra analyzed my answers and came to the conclusion that I was more emotionally susceptible to hypnosis rather than physically. By deducing this little fact about me, Savipra was able to specifically tailor the hypnosis session to personally suit me. Thus, the hypnosis session began! I apologize in advance because honestly, there is no way to properly and accurately describe hypnosis unless you experience it yourself. I'll try my best though.

Savipra basically put me into a "trance" of extreme relaxation, a process that was both gradual and pure bliss. Entering a hypnotic state basically meant that my subconscious was more susceptible to suggestions, and that's exactly what happened. Each time that Savipra commanded me to relax further and further, my body automatically obeyed. Towards the middle of the entire process (I'm not sure if this was the 'peak', but it sure felt like it), I literally felt as if my body was floating in its own Utopian paradise. It felt extraordinarily like heaven, for lack of a less cheesier term, because all of my negative emotions and thoughts were swept from my mind, leaving me in a state of mental ecstasy. The strange part was, I felt like my brain was divided into two parts -- one half of me was lost in a trance, but the other part was still pretty much aware of Savipra's voice (although admittedly, my surroundings and other external noise faded away, way back into the background). Sometimes, random worries would enter my mind, but they did not seem to bother me at all and they dissipated almost as quickly as they had come. There was also a time when Savipra told me that my right arm would feel like steel, and miraculously, it really did feel like it. This tension was basically a representation of all of my stress and negativity all gathered into one focal point (my arm), and when I was told to release it all, it felt so good that I can't even describe it. It's like a weight was lifted off of me -- a weight that I wasn't even completely aware of -- and I could finally breathe again. At the end of the process, after I was commanded to slowly "wake up", I felt extremely.... alive. Which was strange, because I also felt groggy in a good way. It was almost as if I've been away on a relaxing vacation for months! Note that the hypnotic process lasted only for a few minutes at best.

To put it simply, do you know that feeling you get when someone's stroking or playing with your hair, and you feel a sort of tingling at the back of your head and you just want to fall into a deep, undisturbed slumber? Well, hypnosis pretty much felt like that, but ten times more powerful.

I wish I could hypnotize all of you through your laptop/computer screens because I honestly want everyone to know what it feels like and discover the power of hypnosis. I, for one, cannot wait for my second induction process with Savipra sometime in the coming weeks. You see, hypnosis can be used for a variety of different things -- relaxation, treating anxiety disorders, helping with memory repression, etc. just to name a few and I can't wait to delve deeper into its world. How about you? Will YOU be venturing into it as well? I encourage you all to have an open mind and give it a try. Trust me, it's worth it.
