DJEEG'N: A Brand On The Rise

As a style blogger and fashion enthusiast, I am always on the lookout to discover new brands and stores that sell unique pieces of clothing. I love seeing innovative styles that are new and exciting. In the fashion industry, almost everything has been done before, so it's always refreshing to see something different once in a while.

One brand that has really caught my eye lately is DJEEG'N. For those of you who are not yet familiar with it, DJEEG'N is actually a New York-based brand that celebrates what it is to be a woman. Wearing DJEEG’N designs will serve as a constant reminder to the wearer to carefully guard her consciousness and let her natural talents and ability to shine, overcome tough situations, make good things happen, and remain strong.

In a society where people want to belong to groups because of societal, cultural and ethnic pressure, DJEEG’N reminds every woman that they can be whomever they want because they already are part of the most important group of their lifetime simply by being a "woman" and that is the only group they need to know they are a part of. Everything else is life adornment. That is why DJEEG’N was created using sonorities of three different continents.

Prints, colors, and modern silhouettes. The impeccable combination of these 3 is always the mark of a good designer. I think we all want to get our money's worth whenever we purchase something, and when it comes to fashion, this means choosing items and pieces that have a classic silhouette. Doing this will ensure that the items will last us through the years and seasons.

DJEEG'N offers a variety of clothing with different prints, textures, and shapes. This is part of the reason why I was suddenly attracted to the brand in the first place. The new collection has such a classic yet modern feel to it. The black & white dress pictured above has a very simple structural design, yet the black details and accents really take it to the next level.

The yellow tops are similarly quite basic in their silhouettes, but that is one thing I love about the brand. The light summery color is very pleasing to the eyes, and the flowy construction really makes the clothes more wearable. Remember that trends fade as fast as they come, so it's always important to buy clothes that are classic and will endure the test of time.

As you can see from their latest campaign, DJEEG’N is a perfect mix of uptown sophistication, downtown coolness and world culture.

The 4 elements of DJEEG’N:
    • Prints: a global mix & match of designs and patterns inspired by African/ Indonesian lands
    • Colors: daring for a strong emotional impact.
    • Silhouettes: body flattering to compliment every woman’s lines and curves.
    • Fabrics: choices of natural fabrics for durability & health-related qualities.

These are two of my favorite pieces from the brand. The pink blazer is really unique in a lot of ways and the carefully-placed prints really gives it an ethnic touch. The skirt is also very beautiful because of its subtle pattern and the slit in the front.

For those of you who love discovering new brands like I do, I highly recommend that you check out DJEEG'N and their complete collection by clicking here.
