The Piledriver Waltz
"Today is the oldest you've ever been, and the youngest you'll ever be again."
I am officially another year older! To be honest, I've always been scared of growing older. If I had it my way, then I would command time to just stop so I could enjoy being young forever. It scares me that my life is moving so fast and I have no idea where I'm heading. I have made so many mistakes in my life and it has resulted in me being 23 years old and still in 2nd year college. I'm embarassed when I see photos on Facebook of my friends in Thailand graduating and starting their first jobs already, and I'm still stuck here doing research papers and PowerPoint presentations.
My dad used to tell me all the time that all of my actions have consequences, and I guess I chose not to listen to him because I thought I had everything under control. Now I realize that parents really do know best.
My dad used to tell me all the time that all of my actions have consequences, and I guess I chose not to listen to him because I thought I had everything under control. Now I realize that parents really do know best.
But as the saying goes, "we live and we learn", right? At least I've learned a lot from all of my past actions, and I am now willing to accept my life as it is and try to make the most of it.
As for my birthday celebration, I kept it simple and spent the day with my friends at Alabang Town Center. I didn't really dress up extra special because I wanted to be comfortable since we went to Star City in the afternoon. I apologize for the fact that I have no interesting outfit to show you guys, but I promise to make up for it on my next post!
PREPPY BLUE BLAZER from Bayo
SEQUINED LEOPARD TOP from Edge of Glam
RED ACID-WASHED SKINNY JEANS from Chick Flick
BLACK BOOTS from The Shoe Lounge
WHITE CITY BAG from Balenciaga
Incidentally, I finally got my first tattoo! If you look closely at my left wrist you'll see that it's all covered up. I have debated for several years on what design to get, but I think deep down I always knew what my first tattoo was supposed to be. It's still in the process of healing, though, but it should be all good after a couple of days. My tattoo experience was quite funny, to be honest. I spent around half an hour asking the tattoo artist so many questions like how painful it was going to be. I even asked him what hurts more, getting your heart broken or getting a tattoo? Lol. I swear, he found me so amusing! Good thing my friends were there for support. Not that I needed it, though, because it turned out to be not that painful after all. There was an uncomfortable sensation of course, but all in all it wasn't too bad. I'll unveil a photo of my tattoo once the skin has finished peeling off and everything.
I just want to thank everyone who greeted me for my birthday -- all of my friends and family who took the time out of their day to send me a lovely message. I love you all!
I also want to thank all of the people who read my blog on a daily basis. I started this fashion blog not expecting to gain much popularity in the blogosphere, but simply to share my personal passion for style to anyone who might stumble upon this blog. The result has been amazing so far! You guys inspire me each day to continue writing about fashion, and to constantly try and find new ways to keep this blog fresh and interesting! Thank you so much :)
