SUMMER STYLE SPOTLIGHT: "Out & About", Part IV

This will be the last "Out & About" feature for the summer, so I wanted to make sure it would be a good one. Me and my team worked extra hard to spot fashionable Filipinas around town in order to provide you all with a high quality blog post. Before I reveal today's group of stylish locals, I just want to thank you all for the tremendous support you have shown me with regards to this new feature. I really do appreciate all of the comments you've been leaving, and it gives me joy whenever I see people requesting for more "Out & About" articles in the future. I've really enjoyed meeting new people, approaching them, and just working on this feature in general. I'm glad that my hard work has seemed to pay off. Thank you also to every single person who participated in this series and for letting me feature you here on my blog.

Now, without further delay, here's the last batch of stylish people that we spotted out and about . . .

1) Rachelle M. Delgado

You all know by now how much of a fan I am of colors and patterns. That's why when I spotted Rachelle, I just knew I had to include her in this feature. It's always nice to invest in unique pieces like this skirt, because it already is a style statement in itself. You can just pair it with your favorite top and you can instantly look like you walked straight out of a fashion magazine.

2) Louise Custodio

One of the main reasons that I like leopard print is because it always looks so fierce and chic. Take Louise's top, for instance. The design and cut of the top is actually quite simple, but the animal print takes it to the next level and immediately grabs people's attention. I love how Louise paired her top with basic black, causing the leopard print to pop out even more. As you can see, she opted for a simpler and understated necklace, and I must say, this is one thing I learned from her. In this crazy heat, it's better to give up chunky jewellery and replace them with simpler ones in order to stay comfortable yet still stylish. Also, can I just say how a person's personality can really affect your aura? When I first spotted Louise from afar, she seemed so perky and jubilant, like one of those people who you just want to get to know for some reason. To be honest, this is something I'm working at personally for myself. I'm trying to smile more and be more happy to give off an approachable aura just like Louise, because I've been known to look "mean" and "arrogant" because apparently I don't smile too often LOL.

3) Carla Guido

Admit it -- sometimes we sacrifice comfort for style. I'm sure you all know my affinity for blazers and no matter how hot it gets here in the Philippines, I can never give them up. If you're determined to wear a long-sleeved top, opt for a short skirt like Carla did or even some distressed denim shorts.

4) Shine Reyes

During the summer, sometimes less is more. If you want to go for a more laidback vibe, just wear a colored skirt with a plain top and accessorize with your favorite necklace and a pair of stylish sandals. The result is an easy-going, effortless look that looks fashionable without seeming like you're "trying too hard". And this, I think, is the epitome of summer style - fun, simple, and relaxed!

5) Chezka Manasan

I've said it before and I'll say it again, print can really go a long way! Chezka's top has a very eye-catching print and color, and that's already half the battle, really. You can just combine it with a black skirt or shorts, throw on an amazing pair of shoes, and voila! Summer fashion at its finest.

Well, that concludes this summer's "Out & About" series! Whose look was your favorite this time? Do tell! Also, I would just like to remind you that at the end of this month, I will compile all of the looks I've featured in the entire series into one blog post, and you will then be asked to vote for your favorite fashionable local. The person whose look has the most votes will win a mystery bag filled with goodies!

Once again, thank you to everyone who made this series successful. Stay tuned for the compilation post at the end of May so you can vote for your favorite Filipino/Filipina!

x

  16. The deck, trucks and wheels of then current electric skateboard for sale were oversized, heavy and low quality, severely affecting the quality of the ride. After more research he uncovered an obvious neglect in the marketplace for one basic fundamental – an efficient motorized skateboard that was built using real skateboard parts.
