We cannot deny that sunglasses have now become a must-have item for almost everybody. Although their obvious use is to protect our eyes from the harsh glare of the sun, it is evident that more and more people are now using sunglasses as mere accessories to complete their ensembles.

It is no secret that we all want to buy things of the highest quality at the cheapest price possible. Buying sunglasses from prestigious designer brands like Ray-Ban, Tom Ford, Prada, and Oakley will of course guarantee us an accessory that will last us for many years, but I think I speak for most people when I say that spending thousands for sunglasses is a luxury that we cannot always afford at this day and age. 

Luckily for us living in the Philippines, we now have a solution to the problem: Sunnies By Charlie!

Sunnies by Charlie was founded in 2013 in response to the need for quality eyewear at a reasonable cost. A collaborative effort between four friends, the team behind the brand includes Eric Dee Jr., Bea Soriano, Georgina Wilson and Martine Cajucom.

I've heard a lot about this store from my friends, and last weekend I finally managed to go to the store's branch in Glorietta. Needless to say, I went a little bit crazy upon entering the shop (think Rebecca Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic lol). There were so many styles of sunglasses to choose from! In the end, though, I settled with the "Riri".

The "Riri" is such an amazing piece, isn't it? I fell head-over-heels in love with it the moment I saw it! The pearl-encrusted sunglasses makes such a bold statement and is sure to turn heads. The best part? It only costs 599php! 

The reason it's called "Riri" is because Rihanna was wearing similar sunglasses during a Victoria's Secret show (hers was Chanel though). What I love about it is the fact that I can just wear it and instantly look fabulous on days when I'm too lazy to put on makeup.

Let's move on to today's outfit! I rarely wear white jeans simply because they make me look fat (they do, don't they?). However, I was in the mood to wear something light and bright so I ended up wearing these white skinny jeans. I paired it with this "Lady Gaga" top that I've had forever lol. I love it because it's just a simple striped top but the sequined power shoulders make it slightly less "ordinary".
