I Bet You Look Good On The Dancfloor

People who know me well are fully aware of the fact that I am absolutely obsessed with anything British. There's just something about the UK that I really adore, even though I've never been there. Back when I was a kid and still living in Germany, my parents and siblings went on a trip to London and asked me if I wanted to come along, but 6-year old me refused and decided to stay in Germany with my aunts. My reason back then was simply because I did not know how to speak english at the time and I was afraid lol. Now I'm beating myself up over it because I'd give anything to be able to visit the UK. Luckily, some of my Thai high school friends are now living and studying in London, so who knows? Maybe someday I'll get to visit :)

Today, I decided to show off my love for the British by wearing this London Royalty jacket that I got from Aniel PH.

I'm in love with this jacket. Not only am I a sucker for black & white stripes, but having a patch of the Union Jack flag sewn onto it makes it even more appealing to me.

Normally I'm known for my knack for mixing different colors and prints but today I chose to keep my outfit simple, with a classic monochrome palette. I also kept my accessories at a minimum, opting for a gold necklace and my white Chanel watch. For today's bag I used my red Louis Vuitton Vernis Alma. I rarely use this bag to be honest because it's so big, but I had school today so I figured it was a good purse to keep all my stuff in.

Now back to my love for the UK. As I was saying, there's just something about the British that really attracts me. I love the city of London (or at least, from what I've seen of it in photos lol) and of course I love British boys and their accents. I also generally prefer British indie rock bands when it comes to music. My favorite band is Arctic Monkeys. They're not really that popular here in the Philippines but I've been a loyal fan since 2005. In fact, the title of this blog post refers to the first song that I ever heard from them. Even now in 2013, I still consider it as my favorite song of their entire career.

The main thing I love about Britain, though, is the fashion. London is by far one of the most fashionable cities in the world. While the French are known for their ultra sophisticated style, the Brits are a lot funkier and trendier when it comes to street style. They are the masters of mixing and matching different pieces and creating outfits that exude an effortlessly cool vibe.
