Fluorescent Adolescent

It has been a week since the second semester of my second year in college started, and I'm already feeling extremely stressed and facing sleepless nights. I blame it all on Politics & Governance class lol. But no matter how exhausting this past week has been, I still make sure that I suffer in style.

Since I finished all my homework yesterday, my friends and I decided to go out for a relaxing day out at Alabang Town Center.

To be honest, I really wasn't in the mood to dress up nicely today. I had no pre-planned outfit in mind and I just ended up grabbing whatever was at the top of the pile of clothes in my closet. I didn't even get a chance to look at myself in the mirror before leaving home because I was running late lol. I hope I still managed to look decent though.

I think this is my favorite studded jacket at the moment. I blogged about it a month ago when I first bought it and have used it several times since. For this look, since I was trying to keep it casual, I removed the attachable flowy skirt and wore the jacket open (I usually wear it closed) for a simple laid-back feel.

Even though I prefer leggings, I still gravitate towards this pair of jeans. They're my favorite and I bought them at Hot Topic in Los Angeles. I know that store has more of a punk vibe, but I actually really love it. They have nice clothes and cool accessories, and as long as you don't go overboard, you can still incorporate their pieces into your ensemble without looking too gothic lol.

Fashion tip: If you're going to wear a studded jacket like this one, try to keep the rest of your outfit light and casual to avoid looking too "biker". Wear simple accessories like the necklace I have on so as not to distract attention away from the jacket, which is the main standout piece.

Now, before I end this blog post, let me show you all some OOTD shots of my good friend Bea, who accompanied me on this lazy day. Her style is very different from mine. I'm quite edgy whereas she's more bohemian chic. Shaheena (my photographer) also had a nice outfit on but wouldn't let me take photos of her. Blame her shyness.
