Casual ensembles are the only option nowadays for us who are living in Manila. Unfortunately, the overbearing heat won't permit us to wear anything else. I don't usually say this but comfort comes first! However, when it comes to the battle between comfort and fashion, it doesn't necessarily have to be one over the other. You can be both comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Take my outfit today for instance. It's casual and laidback, but it's far from boring. The trick is to add little details that can elevate your overall look. When I was picking out my outfit this morning, I just opted for this cape that I designed and denim shorts. Well, the result ended up looking a little too plain for my taste, so I decided to add one element to my ensemble: the lace tights.

Voila! Instant transition from simple to chic.
