ANOTHERLAND: What To Wear

It's official! I will be attending the Anotherland EDM festival at the end of the month. As excited as I am to party the night away next to my friends in an event as explosive as this, there's one question I've been asking myself that I'm sure everyone can relate to: "What do I wear?"

The theme is centered around the concept of sin, or more specifically, Sodom & Gamorrah. Because of this, I have compiled a short list of ideas on what to wear that I believe will suit the provocative theme.

Mesh Tops

It's no secret that I have a certain affinity for mesh tops. They're sexy, edgy, and they make a loud statement. Perfect for Anotherland, don't you think?

Ripped Shorts

In the original story of Sodom & Gamorrah, the two cities were destroyed because of their sinful ways, so why not pay tribute to that part of the tale by wearing something "destroyed" like ripped shorts or ripped jeans? The more distressed, the better! 

Crossbody Bag

I cannot stress enough how important this is, but make sure you opt for a crossbody/messenger bag if you're planning on attending Anotherland, or any music festival for that matter. First of all, you wouldn't want to leave your belongings anywhere unattended, would you? Choosing a crossbody bag ensures that you always have your things close to you. Second of all, you need to keep your hands free at a party like this. The main objective here is to have fun and dance to your heart's content, and you won't be able to do that if you choose a handbag that will prove to be nothing but a burden.

Comfortable Shoes

Leave your heels at home. This is not the time to show off your Jimmy Choos or best pair of Manolos. Instead, choose comfortable flats -- espadrilles, sandals, sneakers, whatever! Just make sure you're comfortable and that you can dance for hours on end without torturing your feet. After all, keep in mind that the event will be from 5am to 5pm.

With that being said, don't forget to leave your inhibitions behind and have yourself a night of pure fun and recklessness. It's only for a night, so make the most of it! After all, school resumes in around a month, so there'll be plenty of time later to be on your best behavior.
