Shop Smartly: How To Maximize Your Money's Worth
Everything in life should be treated as an investment. A romantic relationship, for example, is only worth it if your partner is giving you back the same amount of time and effort as you are to him (and no, there should be no exceptions). Friendships, on the other hand, are only fulfilling when you feel like your friends care about you and your well-being as much as you do theirs.
Financially speaking however, the most important investments we make are with the things we buy when we go shopping. And, let's be honest here, if you're reading this fashion blog then you probably love shopping. A LOT.
It's easy to get carried away when you're shopping. Trust me, I know. I know all about that feeling you get when you enter a store and it feels as if you've just entered a world of possibilities -- a sartorial Narnia. I also know about that feeling you get when you finally hand over your credit card at the cashier and suddenly everything you wanted belongs to you now! As much as I can relate, though, let me remind you that "too much of something is bad enough" (cue old Spice Girls song). Or at the very least, it's bad for your wallet.
You need to be smart when you're making purchases and make sure that your hard-earned money goes a long way. Invest only in products that are of good quality, and sometimes that means buying branded or designer pieces. While doing so may cost you a good amount of money, there is no denying that the quality of the products you wil receive is unbeatable and will last you for many years to come. Ultimately, that sounds like a pretty good investment, doesn't it? As opposed to purchasing a counterfeit or copycat item from Chinatown which is cheaper, but will only last you for a month before it starts falling apart.
There are ways, though, to still purchase designer items without hurting your wallet too much. If buying secondhand isn't your cup of tea, why not look for places that sell authentic designer goods at discounted prices? After all, what's better than buying a new pair of Ray-Ban sunnies for more than half off?
I've recently discovered an online platform called West Egg (www.westegg.co/b/mV_h) that sells authentic designer goods for incredibly low prices. I've been raving about it to my friends lately and we've all fallen in love with it because of the amazing bargains!
Happy shopping! And remember, invest wisely!
