Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks

My first semester has ended and my friends and I are all exhausted from all of the schoolwork we had to do for finals. Now that our 3-week break has begun, most of my classmates are already enjoying their mini vacation. For me and my blog crew, however, it was off to the City of Baguio!

For all of you non-Filipinos who haven't heard of Baguio, it is a highly urbanized mountain city here in the Philippines and is considered a popular tourist spot. I am currently in Baguio as I type this, and it is actually my first time coming here. Unfortunately, I can't yet reveal what it is that I'm doing here because it's work-related, but I'll be making the announcement quite soon. Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, here's an OOTD post of what I wore on my first day. The weather in Baguio is quite chilly and the exact opposite of the weather in Manila. I'm glad, though, because at least now I can wear my leather boots and thick jackets without dying from a heatstroke lol.

When you're traveling to a new place, it's always good to research about where it is that you're going so that you can pack your things accordingly. Before I went to Baguio, I knew that the city is known for having a cooler temperature, so I brought all of my "winter" essentials with me. I also researched the weather forecasts for the weekend and found out that it was going to be raining most of the time, so I made sure to bring waterproof shoes, rain jackets, and umbrellas as well.

For this outfit, I wore this leather military jacket from SEVEN CONFESSIONS. I can't stress enough how important it is to invest in one great jacket -- a piece like this will be a versatile addition to your wardrobe!

For a change, I kept the rest of my ensemble simple and stuck to a basic color palette.

Shirt: ANDROGYNE MANILA
Jacket: SEVEN CONFESSIONS
Jeans: HOT TOPIC
Boots: THE SHOE LOUNGE
Bag: CHANEL
Belt: SPLASH

  4. I've never been to Baguio too Kyle and apart from the strawberry taho, the ube jam and the sights to see, I really want to experience the weather. Cebu's really warm too and winter clothes will really kill us with a heat stroke. Lol. I'm a sucker for scarves so Baguio weather will be amazing. Will you be doing a travel diary thing?
