Sometimes when I buy a particular item of clothing, I use it as my starting point to build up my ensemble. For instance, when I bought these gorgeous leopard-print lace-up boots, I already knew I was going to wear them the following day even though I did not know what the rest of my outfit was going to be yet.

It's always good to go back to your classic wardrobe staples from time to time, such as your favorite trusty blazer and colored leggings. I went for a simple yet sophisticated vibe today, with a little bit of an edge using the animal-print shoes.

Whenever the weather is gloomy and there's a tendency for it to rain, I like to dress up in bold and striking ensembles to really stand out and uplift my spirits. I always get a bit depressed when the sun is not shining, so wearing something a bit colorful is one way to cheer myself up a little. A lot of people feel like fashion is a reflection of one's mood, but I also think that it can be the other way around.
