I'm Guaranteed To Run This Town

I get style inspirations from so many things around me -- magazines, runways, artworks, and most especially, television shows. TV characters often have the best wardrobe because they have stylists who put a lot of thought into their costumes. One character in particular that has inspired me greatly is Blair Waldorf from the hit TV show Gossip Girl.

Yes, I know the show ended a long time ago but I still like to re-watch all of the DVDs. Personally, I think that the first season was the show's best in terms of fashion and storyline. That's why my OOTD is very much inspired by the preppy lifestyle of the show's characters.

An argyle vest, black bow, hat, and crisp white button-down shirt all fit together perfectly to create that preppy "I-go-to-a-prestigious-private-school-in-Manhattan" look.
