The Preppy Peacock
Today's OOTD is inspired by none other than the exotic bird known as the peacock. I was googling for random stuff when I came across this image of peacock feathers:
I was immediately captivated by the striking green & blue color palette and knew that I had to incorporate it into my next outfit. This is what I came up with:
GREEN BLAZER from Rare Finds
BLUE LEGGINGS from Wasteland
I started off with the blue leggings, which I got from a vintage store in Los Angeles, California, and decided to build my outfit from there. I opted for a green blazer to complete the color palette, and then accessorized the whole look with a sequined clutch, statement necklace, and studded sandals.
STATEMENT NECKLACE from Chick Flick Collection
UNION JACK SEQUINED CLUTCH from Accessorize
When I first started getting into fashion, I always sticked with basic colors like black, grey, and white. However, I realized that although black always looks classy, it can also be a bit boring when worn everyday. That's why I'm starting to experiment with colors and patterns this year. Although this outfit might seem normal to others, it's definitely a step out of my personal comfort zone.
What do you think? Does the peacock-inspired color combo work? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comment box below :)
